The Operettvilág (Operetta World) ensemble was established in 1993 by Andrea Zsadon and Tibor Szolnoki. Andrea Zsadon was at that time the first prima donna of the Operetta Theatre Budapest and the regular guest star of the Volksoper in Vienna, and Tibor Szolnoki played a major role int the renewing of Hungarian musical productions. Based on their mutual experience, the couple established the first private theatre ensemble in Hungary, with the aim of erriching the cultural life of their country and theatres all over the word by presenting classical operettas in their purest tradition. Operettvilág performs between 60 and 80 performances a year in theatres in Hungarian and German languages. Besiede well-known Hungarian stars, the company also includes young talented students from several artistic colleges. |
